second day couldnt get any better.. 6km route march was planned and hey.. what's 6km right? we already did 28.. WRONG.. its now 6km with out standard loadout PLUS 4l of water more and 4 batteries [each is around 1.5kg.. at least that's wad they say]
third day was a little better... just a little.. 4km run in the morning was the standard for the whole unit.. then came the part about recce being the elite and always the fittest and HAVE to maintain that image.. so we continued with 160counts of jumping jacks as a warm up.. followed by many many MANY counts of push-ups.. i completely lost count how many we did.. but it was sufficient to knock us all out in bunk later and have our arms ache the following morning..
nothing much on the forth day.. we just had a yakult straw sized needle pierce into our arms by our friends in order to learn how to do a IV drip [its those drips u see in hospital]..
book out day is never easy to earn.. sure we can brag about what we did the past week to justify it.. but when does that ever satisfy the upstairs? so we had 6km fast march [ie done in 50min with no rest].. heavier load compared to tuesday.. and no rifle sling.. gosh we could just die then..
life of an armour recce will never be easy as it seems. just gotta last 1 more hell week before bike course and our 5 week heaven commences.. o LORD please make it fast and painless..
monday will begin with 9km fast march.. with 12 batteries in toll now.. Lord be with us.. in your name i pray amen..
